Blue Grass Fish & Wildlife Area is a unique natural resource area because all of the land was previously strip-mined. The property covers approximately 2,532 acres and features 20 pits and lakes, totaling around 600 acres of water.
Blue Grass FWA provides a vast array of recreational opportunities, including hunting, fishing, wildlife watching, kayaking, hiking, biking, birding, dog running, nature photography, and foraging.
Join us Saturday, November 21, 2026, to show Blue Grass FWA some Subaru love. We’ll meet at 11amCT at the main parking lot at Blue Grass Pit. After a brief meet and greet, we’ll split up to clean up as many parking areas as we can in a couple of hours. We’ll have gloves, trash bags, and water available. All we need is YOU!
Click the map link to see the many pits, lakes, and parking areas spread out around the property. You’ll be treated to some beautiful scenery along the way. There are also many spots to get some great photos of your vehicle in the wild.
After the cleanup, everyone is invited to go grab lunch at the nearby Frontier Restaurant in Daylight. We hope to see you there!
